Does Thread modify any data in QuickBooks Online?
No. Thread is entirely read-only. It connects to QuickBooks Online via OAuth 2.0 to read your journal entries and chart of accounts. No data is ever created, modified, or deleted.
How does Thread connect to QuickBooks Online?
Thread uses OAuth 2.0 to connect to your QuickBooks Online company. Your administrator authorises the connection once, and Thread uses your company's own QuickBooks Online setup to display the financial statement impact of each entry. You can disconnect at any time.
What types of transactions does Thread support?
Thread supports all major QuickBooks Online transaction types including journal entries, invoices, bills, purchases, payments, sales receipts, credit memos, transfers, and more.
Is my QuickBooks Online data secure?
Yes. Thread is entirely read-only - it never creates, modifies, or deletes any data in your QuickBooks Online company. Thread does not store your transaction data. Each time you click Thread on an entry, it reads directly from your live QuickBooks Online company and displays the result. Your data stays in QuickBooks Online where it belongs.
